DesktopsWith almost 100,000 downloads of the Obsidianus icon sets, I’m sure there are many of you who have put them to interesting use. I want to see what you’ve done! Post a link to a photo in the comments and I’ll add it to this post so everyone can see. If I get enough, I’ll spotlight my favorites in a later post and, if I can think of something, first place may win a small prize! More details after the jump…

Keep in mind, there are no guarantees on the prize, but you will definitely get recognition.

Here’s what I want:

  • Desktops. Whether the icons are used to complete a complicated desktop layout/theme or they just look nice with your wallpaper, I want to see it!
  • Applications. Several people have asked if they can use some of the icons in an application they’ve written or modified. I want to see those too!
  • Anything else. If you’ve come up with another cool way to use ‘em, post ‘em!
  • Put a link to your screenshot in the comments of this post. To capture your entire screen on a Mac, use the shortcut keys command+shift+3. To capture a specific window use command+shift+4, tap the spacebar and click the window you want to capture. These combos should save your screenshots to the desktop. You’ll have to upload these to a host (like Imageshack or Deviantart) before posting a link.
